Trillion received three 2024 Digital Design Awards from Graphic Design USA (GDUSA). GDUSA has been a source of news and information for graphic designers and the broader creative community for over 60 years, covering news, people, projects, trends, and technology.
The Digital Awards honor the power of design across websites, social media, email marketing, digital ads and publications, interactive and interface design, and video and animation. This year there were nearly 3,000 entries, a record turnout for this annual competition.
In each case, Trillion’s Digital Design winners captured the unique spirit of each client, sparking excitement and promoting engagement with the audience.
Private School Capital Campaign Website Design for Newark Academy
For our client Newark Academy, one of America’s oldest private schools, we designed and built a website for their most important capital campaign to date. Their goal is to raise $30 million to strengthen the three pillars of a Newark Academy education.
The website design builds upon the school’s established branding to highlight its storied history and establish a branded space for its 250th-anniversary campaign. The capital campaign website features full-screen video content, large photos, and a scrolling timeline. Clearly communicating the capital campaign priorities was critical. Our design strategically highlights the priorities to create a distinct and emotional connection with the viewer.
Finally, we included an area for donor stories and news. This content is crucial for demonstrating that support for the campaign has a direct impact on the students’ success.
Titusville Email Blast
Titusville Playhouse is an established professional theater that has operated in Florida since 1965. Trillion successfully rebranded and launched its new website. Subsequently, Titusville looked at other key touchpoints for its audience and asked us to redesign its Constant Contact email template to align with its new branding.
Since the web design was such a strong representation of their brand, our goal was simply to translate that style from the website to the email template. Navigating any constraints for fonts and layouts in the email platform, we created a template that expressed their brand consistently and recognizably. The template is also flexible and easy for them to use, enabling the Playhouse’s internal team to utilize email as a reliable and creative part of its marketing communications.
Newark Downtown District Annual Impact Report Website
We created a compelling, magazine-style annual impact report for our client, Newark Downtown District (NDD). Once we designed the printed annual impact report, we translated all of the text, photos, and infographics into an interactive website that celebrates the organization’s impressive stories and successes. The print report’s editorial elegance translated beautifully to the web with NDD’s signature high-contrast typography, a colorful border effect separating content areas, and tasteful loading micro-interactions.
The annual impact report benefitted from our team’s newly created editorial content and Trillion’s involvement in planning, coordinating, and leading a professional photoshoot in nearly a dozen locations within Newark’s business district. This photography is presented vividly on the screen in large areas of the different templates across the report.
