We are pleased to introduce you to our new Marketing Director, Lindsey Stansfield. We hope you’ll enjoy getting to know the newest member of our talented team!
What led you to Trillion?
After years of managing agency relationships from the brand side, I’m excited to flip the script. Transitioning to the agency side allows me to apply my strategic marketing background across multiple brands simultaneously, and I’m ready to bring that ‘client-side insider’ perspective to the team.
I had been following Trillion and was so impressed by how they successfully serve both non-profit and for-profit organizations. That diverse portfolio, paired with such a talented team, makes Trillion a truly exciting place to work!
What do you wish people knew about marketing?
I wish company leaders looked at marketing through a strategic lens rather than just a budgetary one. Marketing is how a brand establishes its market presence and communicates its values. It goes far beyond the pictures and words; it’s about understanding consumer psychology and market strategy to build connections that ultimately impact the bottom line.
What was your first job ever?
I was lucky enough to kick off my career at Banyan Productions in Philadelphia. I started from the ground up as an intern and Production Assistant on the TLC Network show Trading Spaces, where I learned to manage tight deadlines and many moving parts. That experience paved the way for my next role as a Unit Manager for a FOX design series and then as an associate producer on a TLC Proposal Special. It was a fun first job that taught me how to channel chaos into a polished final product, an excellent foundation for my resume.
How do you stay creatively inspired?
My inspiration comes from two very different places. First, there’s nature—it’s the perfect place to unplug, observe, and find raw inspiration. At the opposite end, I love the digital community. Social media allows me to curate a feed of incredible artists and innovators who constantly challenge me to think outside the box.
Is there a place you’re looking forward to traveling to one day?
How much time do you have? The list is huge! Right now, Portugal and Switzerland are tied for the top spot, closely followed by Spain, Ireland, Italy, and Greece. I’m really looking forward to exploring that mix of historic European cities and incredible natural scenery one day.
What is the coolest vacation you’ve taken?
I love a tropical island getaway, but last year we switched things up and went to Lake Tahoe—and it was easily the coolest trip I’ve taken. There was something so magical about hiking waterfall trails, biking around the lake, and then sitting by a pool with snow-capped mountains right in front of you. It was the ultimate reset, and I can’t wait to go back and paddleboard next time.
If you could master a skill or hobby instantly, what would it be?
Woodworking is definitely at the top of my list. I’d bottle the scent of freshly cut wood if I could, because it brings me right back to my childhood, watching my dad build things in his shop. I’m drawn to it because the possibilities are endless. That joy of making something by hand with genuine care is exactly why I love design. At the end of the day, it’s all about taking an idea and turning it into something tangible.
How do you relax during time off?
I am an avid reader, and I really enjoy creating things with my hands and spending time with my family and six dogs.
Six dogs … how did that happen, and what is that like?
I rescued them all at different times from some unfortunate circumstances. The pups now range from 2 to 10 years old and include three Malamute-Husky siblings, an Australian Shepherd, a Norwegian Elkhound, and a feisty little mutt who proudly runs the show. Each has its own space to eat and sleep, but you can generally find them sprawled around our feet. The dog hair is endless, the howling is harmonized, and the unconditional love is something we humans are lucky to have.
What is the most rewarding part of your job?
For me, nothing beats watching a concept go from a simple brainstorming note on paper to a live marketing campaign out in the wild. It’s an incredible feeling. But what keeps me truly motivated in this field is its pace. Marketing essentially requires you to be a ‘forever student.’ Since the landscape shifts so frequently, you’re forced to be constantly learning; there is always something new to master, and that rapid change is exactly why I love what I do.
