“A Trillion Tips for Stronger Brands: How to manage, renew or transform your company’s identity,” is the first branding book that I have written and it was a surprise to many because I am not a writer, I’m a designer.
With my many years of experience as a creative professional, including graphic designer, art director and creative director, people ask me lots of questions about color, layout, logos and branding—and I enjoy answering them.
The seeds for this branding book were planted when I began writing blog posts for the Trillion website. As I produced as many as three to six new blog posts per month, our business began to see more and more opportunities arise as clients soon recognized and sought our branding expertise and creative talents.
Branding and graphic design topics are the kinds of articles that business owners and managers could benefit from.
Much to my satisfaction, readers commented that they were gaining valuable information related to graphic design that was helping them make important business decisions for their brands.
Being an author was something I thought I could achieve but with no formal writing experience I wasn’t sure I could make it happen. However, once I accumulated dozens of my own blog articles I perceived real value in what I had to offer. Branding and graphic design topics are the kinds of articles that I thought business owners and managers could benefit from—and now they are!
So with the help of a colleague I organized and updated everything I had written with the ultimate goal of crafting what I believe has become a unique how-to branding book that’s perfect for business owners, marketing directors and brand managers. The book is chock full of articles that are short and easy to read for busy professionals.
Important Elements of Branding and Graphic Design
“Lou loves logos,” are words that are frequently heard at the Trillion design studio. And it’s true; I really do! Mainly because I am a designer at heart and have more than 20 years of experience in the graphic design and branding business. I have managed and developed the essential features of brands and interacted with brand guidelines for many companies during my career. My book is designed to help fill in those gaps that your design studio either didn’t know or never shared with you about the big issues involved in the branding/graphic design processes.
In any case, it’s always a good idea to have a detailed resource at your fingertips to help you make informed decisions about your brand and how to help it achieve greater success.
Are You Curious about What is Involved in the Branding and/or Design Process?
The potential challenges and risks associated with hiring and working with the right branding and design team are critical to ensure that things work smoothly for you. “A Trillion Tips for Stronger Brands…” will help provide you with the basic knowledge you need should you attempt to cultivate such a relationship.
Everything You Need to Know—Quickly
The book has a trillion tips focusing on branding, design, and marketing. Each topic is brief and to the point and something that you can read within 10-15 minutes. The topics are relevant to today’s brands and businesses and while some have evolved over time, the core of each remains the same. As a graphic designer, I needed to make sure each page was carefully created by presenting the photos and text in a visually appealing way that would keep you reading on.
