Trillion was recognized with a total of seven awards in GDUSA’s 60th anniversary American Graphic Design Awards™. These awards are their flagship contest, open to everyone in the community, honoring all kinds of outstanding work — end-of-year, best-of-year — across all media.

GDUSA has been a trusted business-to-business information source for the creative community for over 60 years, and Trillion’s work was selected from over 8,000 entries. The award-winning designs represented a broad range of Trillion’s projects and clients including gala invitations, logos, impact reports and menus.

Cooke School and Institute Food For Thought Gala Invitation

Cooke School and Institute is a private school located in New York City educating students with diverse developmental disabilities and backgrounds. Trillion was chosen to help the school brand its annual Food for Thought gala, which featured a tasting menu created by nearly 30 of New York City’s most celebrated chefs. The event was sold out, with a waitlist, and raised $1.4 million.

Award-Winning Cooke School and Institute Food For Thought Gala Invitation

For the invitation, Trillion Graphic Designer Danielle Singer utilized Cooke’s existing color palette with a custom typographic treatment for the event’s name, along with a dynamic pattern throughout the invitation reflective of the forward bouncing motion in the Cooke School logo. To accent the beautiful venue, Chelsea Piers, large-scale window clings featuring student artwork of marigolds were created to both utilize the space’s large garage door windows effectively and filter the light of the space so it, too, matched the event’s branding. Finally, following the branding of the event, a full signage package along with tabletop centerpieces, posters, main stage backgrounds, step and repeat backgrounds, and website graphics were created.

Levy Mercedes-Benz Stadium Major League Soccer Suites Menu

Award-Winning Levy Mercedes-Benz Stadium Major League Soccer Suites Menu designed by Trillion.

The menus were a joint project between Trillion Art Director Jillian Dougherty and Danielle Singer.  The Mercedes-Benz Stadium, located in Atlanta, Georgia, is one of the newest professional sports stadiums in the United States and a world-class sports and entertainment facility. Trillion matched the sophistication of the Mercedes-Benz Stadium brand with an elevated design meant to inspire purchases of specific food and beverage selections.

Titusville Playhouse Logo Design

Designed by Trillion Art Director Jillian Dougherty, this logo design was part of a larger website redesign and branding project Trillion did for the Titusville Playhouse, a professional theater company on Florida’s Space Coast. For the logo, Jillian set out to create a mark that spoke volumes about Titusville Playhouse’s personality and the beloved space it occupies within its community – a space that is offbeat, boundary-pushing, inclusive, and above all else, fun. The mixed letterforms represent diversity in both programming and patronage, while also contributing an unexpected and playful character. This tone is complemented by a sunny, tangerine orange that leads the new brand palette. From a practical perspective, it was important to the Titusville team that a fully enclosed version of the logo be available for optimal placement over photography and busy backgrounds.

Animal Care League Case for Support Brochure

Award-Winning Animal Care League Case for Support Brochure designed by Trillion.

Animal Care League is a limited-admission animal shelter located in the Oak Park neighborhood of Chicago. When the not-for-profit prepared to embark on a $2.25M capital campaign project to transform their facility, they approached Trillion to design their case for support brochure.

Our creative team created a warm and welcoming look for the brochure inspired by elements of Animal Care League’s logo. We then infused graphic elements, impact graphics and infographics to help tell the story of the shelter and retain the interest of the reader.

Razom for Ukraine Impact Report

Award-Winning Razom for Ukraine Impact Report designed by Trillion.

Razom is a U.S.-based not-for-profit organization whose mission is to help accelerate their individual and collective contributions through projects that unlock Ukraine’s potential and build toward a more prosperous, democratic nation. Razom, which means “together” in Ukrainian, accesses a web of dedicated volunteers from around the world to deliver transforming relief to Ukrainians.

Trillion was asked to develop Razom’s first-ever printed impact report to communicate to their thousands of new supporters how their donations were saving lives and making a tremendous impact in Ukraine.

Trillion wrote and designed an eye-catching 12-page impact report that expressed moving stories of humanitarian relief, shared impressive accomplishments, and revealed the sheer volume of activity and support that Razom was able to provide during their fiscal year.

Designer Danielle Singer explains, “I wanted to ensure this impact report was unmistakably from Razom and used their existing branding, colors, and typography while creating a unique and polished look for the impact report. I used the overlapping squares from the Razom logo as a design element to strike a balance between visual interest and the stories, statistics, and testimonials. Above all else, my goal was to emphasize the stories of those who were directly impacted by Razom’s humanitarian relief efforts.”

NY-NJ Trail Conference EOY Direct Mail Appeal

Award-Winning NY-NJ Trail Conference EOY Direct Mail Appeal designed by Trillion.

NY-NJ Trail Conference stewards over 5,200 acres of preserved parklands. They help build, maintain and protect over 2,150 miles of trails that traverse northern New Jersey and southern New York.

Trillion has been designing their end-of-year appeal mailings and other yearly appeal mailings for many years.

For this appeal mailing, Trillion was challenged with a massive envelope and paper shortage—a remnant result of pandemic supply chain issues. Since we could not print our full-color outer envelopes, we decided to print a single color on brightly colored green paper instead—and it was a success.

The end-of-year appeal mailing consisted of a bright green outer envelope, a personalized full-color letter with an informative backside that was z-folded, a personalized response card with previous giving history bump gift options, and a reply envelope. We also Incorporated a QR code, which generated nearly 75% of the total amount raised by the mailing!

Trillion Thanksgiving Cookbook Card

Award-Winning Trillion Thanksgiving Cookbook Card designed by Trillion.

For our recent Thanksgiving card, Trillion Senior Designer Jess Minzner conceived a digital Thanksgiving Cookbook filled with recipes shared by each member of the Trillion team.  “I think for most, Thanksgiving is very much about all the dishes from loved ones coming together to make a memorable meal. Sharing our family recipes with clients felt right and was a fun project for the whole team,” said Jess.

Jillian Dougherty designed the printed card, inspired by vintage cookbook covers and embellished with festive gold-raised foil. The card included a QR code so that recipients could access the recipes from their phones or computers. Clients loved it!
