We are pleased and proud to announce that two of our recent web design projects have been selected as winners in the 14th Web Excellence Awards competition. The Web Excellence Awards honor the best of digital innovation and creativity on a global scale, and this year’s 800 submissions came from 21 countries across four continents.
The competition recognizes the important combination of exceptional design, development, and marketing that go into making a successful website. In our two winners, Trillion’s Web Design Team addressed our clients’ needs for content organization, visual appeal and user-friendly interface.

KBR Law Firm Website Redesign
Kaufman Borgeest & Ryan, LLP (KBR Law) has nine offices with over 130 lawyers who serve clients nationally and internationally. The website’s wealth of information necessitated meticulous planning and design. We paid particular attention to the taxonomy, or how content is referenced, throughout the website pages so that finding individual attorneys and relevant information is simple and straightforward.

The calls to action throughout the website help bring qualified leads to the proper people and departments. For optimal user experience, we created unique mobile and desktop experiences, designed and developed custom micro-animations and parallaxing, and strengthened their visual identity so their website is an impressive, effective asset and marketing tool for their business.
Newark Downtown District (NDD) Website Redesign
Newark Downtown District (NDD) is a Special Improvement District serving Downtown Newark. Its website needed to reflect the sense of excitement and possibility happening in Newark’s downtown district and showcase the range of programs, events, and activities available. As a vast resource for those visiting, working in, or living in downtown Newark, it needed to be organized, engaging, and user-friendly.

Trillion’s redesign promotes the many special events and neatly organizes content into meaningful buckets. Large images and text help bring the energy level up and feature all the wonderful work the “brand ambassadors” do each day.
Built on WordPress, the website was specifically designed to be managed and updated by their internal marketing team, so content aspect ratios were kept consistent regardless of size for simplification’s sake.
The custom build also features a community calendar that allows anyone to submit events the downtown community would appreciate—with an admin review feature to ensure relevance for their audience. Another feature, the Downtown Directory, showcases all of the amazing businesses within the special improvement district. Users can easily filter by various categories and see the available businesses on a map.
