Every year, Trillion spends time giving back to our local communities. Community involvement is a very important part of being a Trillionaire, so we love to help not-for-profits doing important work in NJ. This year, we chose to donate our time to a local not-for-profit, Moms Helping Moms, which alleviates a great need for many families: diapers.

1 in 3 families don’t have enough diapers for their little one.

On average, diapers cost $18 per week, or $936 per year per child1. Babies need, on average, 6-10 diapers a day. For low income families barely getting by, adding the cost of diapers for a new baby means it’s even harder to afford groceries. As our partner and creative director, Larissa Montecuollo, said: “No baby should have to go hungry or go without clean diapers.” For families receiving food stamps, they can’t use them to buy diapers and without diaper banks like Moms Helping Moms, America’s most vulnerable families have nowhere to turn.

When we arrived on a Friday morning, there was a large pile of bags filled with donated clothes. Without volunteers, their small full-time staff would have to sort through all of those donations, among their other important duties. With our help, they were able to focus on leading their organization while we sorted clothing, socks, shoes, coats, blankets, and bibs by gender, season, and size. “The impact of many people contributing something small to create a huge result is humbling. I’m glad families took care of their babies’ clothing so well that it could be donated and used by a family who really needs it,” Trillionaire Jess Minzner observed. “We got through the whole stack of donations and felt the satisfaction of knowing that all of the clothing would go to children and families in need.”

As a creative agency that works with many not-for-profit organizations, our studio’s goal is always to be good local and global citizens who give back. For example, our studio has developed a niche working with not-for-profits who help families in need such as Family Promise, the YMCA, and Friendship Circle. We love the fact that we were able to participate in another local effort that supports families.

In the past, Trillion has helped set up a farmers’ market style food bank in Morristown, NJ, helped prepare pre-packaged meals from raw ingredients, and participated in a town-wide Earth Day clean up. If you are interested in participating in Trillion’s next day of service, please let us know. We’d love to have you!
