The Challenge: Welcome Packages That Cost Too Much to Mail

A nonprofit’s new-member welcome package had grown oversized and heavy, costing thousands in postage each year, so the brochure needed to deliver the same message at a fraction of the weight.

The NY-NJ Trail Conference mails every new member a welcome package of a letter, membership card, literature, and brochure, all designed by Trillion.

A Consolidated, Pocket-Sized Brochure

Trillion modified the brochure content down to a few key points with supporting visuals and reduced its finished size so the full packet fit a standard #10 envelope. The brochure mimics the organization’s successful map series and folds to a small pocket brochure, with a complex roll fold executed by one of Trillion’s trusted print vendor partners.

Results

The redesign drove postage costs down from $1.70 per piece to $0.65, a 62% savings.
