NA 250th Anniversary Appeal

PROJECT OVERVIEW

Newark Academy (NA), one of the nation’s oldest private schools, was commemorating its 250th anniversary. With Trillion’s help, they had conducted a very successful Founder’s Day Appeal earlier in the year, and they wanted to send a special, one-of-a-kind appeal that embodied its 250-year history as well as its current standing as a premier educational institution. They wanted a design that was celebratory, fun, and modern.

To illustrate the way their initial innovative approach to education remains alive in the present day, our team created a mailer that is a progression of time/changes. Using die cuts, we “collaged” old and new photos together, showing a modern-day student “walking” across the past campus to the campus of today. The concept vividly showcased NA’s continuing history of excellence.

As a celebratory token, we included a “build your own cupola,” commemorating the cupola on their campus that stands as a powerful symbol of their school and is featured in their photography and logo. The cupola could be easily assembled by the recipient and enjoyed as a souvenir.
