Cooke School and Institute Food for Thought Gala Event Branding

The Challenge: Branding a Signature Fundraising Night
The annual Food for Thought gala brings celebrated chefs and committed supporters into one memorable evening, and that evening needed a look as distinctive as the night itself. Trillion was asked to create event branding that would unify everything from the invitation to the on-site experience.
Held at The Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers in New York City, the Food for Thought gala centered on a tasting menu created by nearly 30 of the city’s most celebrated chefs.
The Solution: A Cohesive Event Identity
Trillion built on Cooke’s existing color palette and created a unique pattern and a typographic lock-up of the event name. Knowing the venue’s large west-facing windows and sunsets, Trillion designed large-scale window clings that let light transmit into the space, along with signage identifying the chefs and their restaurants, tabletop centerpieces, posters, main stage backgrounds, step and repeat backgrounds, website graphics, and a die-cut invitation package.
Results
The gala sold out with a waitlist and raised $1.4 million.
